I prowl ebay.com looking for unusual Venice-related auctions. Well, here's a strange one ... it's item # 2962487722 (no point putting a link, since the auction will soon be over): a Venice, Italy mailing address. I guess the idea is for you to give the address out to folks you want to impress, they then address mail to you in Venice, and the mail gets rerouted to you in suburban Buffalo or wherever. Knowing the Italian post office, I'm guessing it's about 90 days before you would receive a postcard mailed by your next door neighbor. If you're lucky.
