About Me

Norman Hajjar lived in Venice, with his girlfriend (and now wife) Lorraine, on the island of Giudecca in 1997-99.

Norman speaks Italian, but is better at reading and writing it. Lorraine is more fluent than she lets on.

Norman had a small boat tied up close by on the Rio Ponte Piccolo, and has explored much of the Venetian lagoon, as well as the lagoons and river cities to the north as far as Grado.

He's a serious amateur photographer that often makes treks to Venice. Many of the photos he takes are panoramic, using special cameras like the Seitz Roundshot and the Hasselblad XPan.

Lorraine is an Architectural Conservator with an Art History background and a thing for mosaics. She also knows a ton about Venice.
