Lots of posts coming when I get back ... upload logistics are challenging here. I have shot more than 3000 photos. Stay tuned.

Afternoon Norman et. al.
So I am heading back to Venice for Christmas (which I am soooo excited about). I lived there as a grad student in the early autumn of '98 so I know about the main things to see (Friari, San Marco........duh!...lol). Does anyone have any suggestions or insights about the Christmas season in particular? I will be there from 22 Dec-31 Dec. Grazie mille!
Christopher
Here's a quick tip.
Try hard to find out what the schedule is at the Basilica of San Marco. Even if you are an atheist. It's a killer time to be there. Go to an evening mass, when the tourists are gone. Or look for concerts of sacred music there.

Norman -
Where are you?

I've been writing heavily, and had to take a hiatus. Back in force. In the house.

We will be visiting Venice for Christmas from New York. Can you recommend some interesting things to do? Arriving around December 17th. We have a 16 year old son who is very much into the history and the language.
